Selected by the sitting Mayor of Birmingham, the Coca-Cola Amphitheater has been named the 2026 Mayor’s Choice Award from AIA Birmingham.
The Mayor’s Choice award recognizes a local architectural project that best reflects the city’s civic and sustainable goals.
Generator Studio worked closely with Live Nation and local firms Goodwyn Mills Cawood and Studio 2H Design to create a new Birmingham venue built to anchor real growth in the surrounding neighborhood.
Coca-Cola Amphitheater is the first open-air music venue within the Birmingham–Jefferson Convention Complex. Its elevated position offers views of local landmarks such as the Vulcan statue and Protective Stadium, while giving airline passengers a bird’s-eye view from the Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport flight path.
