Gretchen worked as a varsity boys’ high school basketball referee for 6 years.
Gretchen brings a wide range of experience to every project, working with diverse clients to find creative solutions that meet the needs of each project. She plays a key role in many of our local projects, including Grand Place and The Refinery; and our work in sports and entertainment, like the Live Nation Riverside Amphitheater and the Seattle Sounders’ training facility. Gretchen is passionate about urban revitalization and has established herself as a specialist in local Kansas City development, making her a valuable resource for everyone at the office. In addition to her local development experience, she spent more than a decade in civic and high-end custom residential work.
As an urban resident with a family, Gretchen has a real perspective on metropolitan design, one that blends the needs of both home and work life. This perspective makes her a strong voice in the design process, helping guide the team through design decisions and documentation with an eye on what truly matters for the people who will live, work, and play in these spaces. Thriving on the assortment of experiences that happen each day working in architecture, Gretchen enjoys the challenge of always having a new problem to solve.
