Director of Interior Design Christina Franklin, IIDA

When Christina was growing up, her mom allowed her to oversee the décor in her bedroom. Her vision for her bedroom changed over the years, but not the determination to create a space that reflected her.

Generator’s hospitality-forward design thinking is propelled by Christina’s Interior Design leadership. As the former Design Director for a boutique hotel design studio, she brings her hospitality industry expertise to bear on virtually all Generator Studio projects. Christina is a secret weapon and a major asset to clients with her client-first M.O. She designs environments not only proportionately accurate but visually stunning and inviting. Rather than having a personal design style, Christina designs according to how the end user should function and feel in a particular space, with client insights and goals as the starting point – she learned from a young age that listening is an important trait for winning at life.

Christina’s philosophy is no matter the style, the interiors should always have a sense of place. Toward that end, she takes inspiration from local materials and strives to use local artists whenever possible. Christina has extensive knowledge in process management, space planning, concept development, FF&E selection, document production, and construction administration.
