The restaurant owner tasked Generator Studio with the goal of turning a newly acquired space into a warm, comfortable restaurant that would ideally become a neighborhood staple. The space was home to a former limited service restaurant chain, and was completely gutted except for the kitchen area in preparation for the new scope of work. It was imperative to the client that the space visually convey that the restaurant was a new direction in terms of menu and level of service.
Coupled with that goal was the challenge of a limited budget. The design solution focused on several new key features that would rebrand the space: a focal fireplace element, a comfortable bar, and a connection to outdoor seating. The design solution utilized unique yet cost effective materials to create an intimate backdrop that allows the food and service to take center stage.
