In partnership with Margaritaville, Generator Studio is bringing to life the 229-key laidback luxury hotel in Kansas City, Kansas. To marry the existing look and feel of the global hospitality brand with the Midwest, Generator worked closely with Margaritaville’s Brand Interior Designer to ensure that the exterior and interiors felt genuine to the location and the existing Margaritaville name.
The building is designed with two prominent features: a two-story guest amenity building intersecting a six-story tower accommodating the hotel rooms. At the guest amenity building, visitors will be welcomed to the hotel with warm masonry, reminiscent of the varying tones of Kansas limestone. The tower is gleaming white, a classic Margaritaville coastal element. As these two masses fold into each other, they link the brand to its newest Midwestern location.
The tower’s distinctive “Margaritaville” colors and murals are a beacon to visitors as it peeks through the trees that flank the curving entrance road. Along the road, Margaritaville signage guides patrons to their seaside destination.
The 198,000 SF hotel includes a Landshark Bar & Grill, conference center, lobby bar, coffee shop, indoor pool, and arcade. Guests can step out of their first-floor suites to 73,000 SF of outdoor amenities including a zero-entry outdoor pool with in-water lounging, 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar, in addition to turfed live performance, hammock, and yard game areas.
The Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City will welcome its first visitors in Spring 2025.
