Despite a cloudy day in May, we entered the “Margaritaville state of mind” to partake in the topping-off ceremony with members of the development and construction teams, representatives of Wyandotte County, and local news outlets.
Jimmy Buffett’s “Fins” was playing on the speakers and a parrot named Captain Flint was in attendance to commemorate the completion of the structural phase of the project.
This hotel marks the second Margaritaville location in the Midwest and the only location in the state of Kansas.
Margaritaville’s signature flip flop sandal sculpture, that appears at every property, will be on display in the hotel’s lobby.
The 229-room hotel, featuring an outdoor resort-style pool, indoor pool, family-friendly entertainment, meeting/event space, retail, and Margaritaville-inspired restaurants and bars is scheduled to open it’s doors to “Parrot Heads” Summer 2025.
