Breaking Barriers at New Child Protection Center

The Child Protection Center is “breaking ground” on an 8,000-square-foot building renovation located at 30th and Main in the Union Hill neighborhood of Kansas City, almost double the size of their current location.

The larger space will allow them to better service approximately 800 children annually at no charge and increase their visibility in the community. In addition to their existing services, the additional square footage will allow CPC to begin providing child abuse prevention programs and case management services.

Generator Studio, CPC’s architect of record, is designing a complete overhaul of the former market research office building. Therapy rooms, a lobby, breakrooms, conference rooms and offices are all included in the renovation. Keeping the end users in mind, our architects and designers established comfort and privacy as central themes of the new design.

To commemorate the groundbreaking event, our staff joined in demolishing the first wall of the project! As a local studio, we are honored to work with CPC to aid in the betterment of our Kansas City community.
