Sam graduated from the University of Kansas with a Masters of Architecture. During his time at KU he had multiple internships at firms gaining experience in residential, higher education and commercial building types. In his final year at KU he was an independent contractor designing retail stores and custom display cases. During his study abroad Sam documented urban spaces, historic buildings and modern buildings in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Italy, France and Spain. London and Siena were highlight cities for Sam where he enjoyed being immersed into the different cultures and lifestyles. Before studying architecture he had a passion for film and digital photography. His experience with photography and 2D design, impacts the way he sees architecture and the creative process. Sam gravitates towards creative problem solving and how it has the power to impact everyday life. In his free time, Sam enjoys running, golfing and taking his pup to the dog park.
