Generator Studio was selected by Toyota Center and Clutch City Sports & Entertainment to lead the design of Toyota Center Reimagined—a venue transformation that elevates the fan experience and further positions downtown Houston as a premier destination for sports, entertainment, and major events.
At the heart of the transformation, the addition of a nearly 20,000-square-foot atrium at the corner of Polk and La Branch streets becomes the grand arrival moment. The new atrium features a striking glass façade, creating a covered outdoor gathering space of more than 3,000 square feet and serving as a vibrant front door to Toyota Center and downtown Houston.
Overlooking the atrium, a new Season Ticket Members Lounge features an open design that keeps guests connected to the energy below while maintaining a more private setting.
The new Rockets and Comets Team Store more than doubles the current retail footprint, supporting the merchandise needs of all Toyota Center events with additional point-of-sale and self-checkout kiosks designed to improve speed of service.
Along Bell Street, the south entry is reconfigured to heighten the moment of arrival with an immediate view of the arena bowl, connecting visitors directly to the energy of the event. A new hospitality space anchors the entry as both a gathering point and a game-night statement.
Throughout the arena, all existing suites are fully renovated and modernized. Refreshed interiors, improved sightlines, upgraded furnishings and finishes, and enhanced hospitality functionality combine to create a significantly elevated premium experience that better supports corporate entertainment, client engagement, and networking.
New hospitality and premium experiences extend across multiple levels: an overhauled Skybridge entrance enhances the premium arrival from the Toyota Tundra Garage; the suite-level Summit Club introduces multiple dining and lounge areas delivering a differentiated all-inclusive experience; and the upper concourse’s Sky Bar and HOU Market offer sweeping views of downtown alongside elevated hospitality for all guests.
