Generator Studio is looking for a Design Intern. Are you the one?
The Role:
A Design Intern assists on a wide range of project types. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in earning their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design or from an accredited program. The ability to work effectively as a team member on a variety of tasks, including design, modeling, drawing, and documentation, is paramount. This internship bridges the gap between academic studies and professional practice, offering students hands-on experience, exposure to various aspects of the field, and opportunities to refine their skills. It’s not just about fulfilling required hours—it’s a foundational step toward becoming a successful designer.

As Our Design Intern, You:
- Champion good design. Advocate for maintaining a healthy design culture where all are engaged, collaborating and advancing design. Make us better.
- Solve problems. Anticipate and identify problems and resolve issues that arise throughout the process.
- Produce presentations and documentation. Create materials for new business opportunities you will participate in.
- Sometimes work independently, other times highly collaboratively with team members. Work closely with Project Managers, Project Architects, and others to support the design process including designing, drawing, modeling, and documenting.
- Impact all stages of a project, schematic through construction.
- Make timely changes from review sessions.
- Community clearly and practice professional email etiquette, ask questions, and contribute to team discussions.
- Embrace every assignment as a chance to grow, seek feedback, and build a strong foundation for your budding career.
This Role is For You if You:
- Eat, sleep and drink design. You love design, the iterative design process and have the ability to conceive and develop multiple design concepts.
- Are currently enrolled in earning your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program.
- Know Revit and Adobe well. Demonstrated skills in Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Photoshop and InDesign) are preferred. Must have at least working knowledge of Enscape and Lumion.
- Multitask and make magic. Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively balance workload.
- Have a flexible working style, at times working independently and at other times in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
