Tom’s Watch Bar in Seattle’s Uptown Neighborhood has been recognized at the AGC of Washington’s 2026 Build Washington Awards!
The project team approached Tom’s Watch Bar with a careful respect for the original Bressi Garage, honoring its status as a historic landmark and the last building on its block to reflect the pre–World’s Fair character of Lower Queen Anne.
Behind the scenes, the structural system was engineered to protect an existing underground tunnel beneath the site that runs to Climate Pledge Arena. Piers were drilled deep below the tunnel so no load would transfer onto it, allowing the second story to span roughly 70 feet safely.
