With the vision of bolstering and unifying amateur hockey in Kansas City, Generator Studio was commissioned to design a new arena proposed as the home for a professional tier hockey team that would also provide a second public sheet for community use.
At 6,000 fixed seats, the multipurpose venue would also accommodate concerts at a capacity of 7,000 seats; a concert capacity currently missing from the Kansas City market.
Other amenities included a multi-story entry atrium that would connect parking to the arena and provide a flexible community space that would rent for various events. The full complement of seating types were included from general seating to multiple group seating and premium options. With the community sheet component, the facility was designed to be open and operational year-round; hosting a variety of events and driving increased revenue opportunities.
